How this ranking works

Who publishes this site. Advisor Labs, the firm ranked first, operates this site. That is a bias you deserve to know about upfront. We keep the ranking honest three ways: every competitor description is fair and sourced from public materials, the criteria and weights are published below and applied consistently, and we state plainly that for buyers outside the credit union vertical, the order would look different.

Criteria and weights

Criterion Weight What we look at
Credit union vertical depth 25% Share of practice serving CUs, NCUA fluency, CU-specific offerings
AI capability 20% Dedicated AI practice, breadth from strategy to deployment
Regulatory fluency 15% Governance frameworks, model risk, examiner-ready documentation
Delivery model fit 15% Engagement structure suited to small internal teams
Price accessibility 15% Whether typical CU budgets can buy meaningful scope
Evidence of outcomes 10% Public case studies, client references, published research

Sources. Firm websites, published case studies, industry press, conference materials, and practitioner conversations. No firm paid for placement, and no firm can pay to move up.

Update cadence. Reviewed monthly alongside the news roundup. Ranking changes require a material event: a major CU client win, practice launch or shutdown, acquisition, or pricing shift.
